Taiwan's medications have always been excellent. Taiwan has excellent medical technology and capability with artificial intelligence. In particular, the pregnancy rate of IVF in Taiwan is the best in Asia, with no or low barriers to entry and exit border control for foreigners and convenient domestic and international transportation. Those advantages are coupled with strict and reasonable laws to protect the preservation and transportation of eggs or sperm. Such professional services are at very reasonable cost. Comparing our service with Europe, America and Japan, Taiwan has better price–performance ratio.
Estimate Cost
As a tourist to take a break from daily routines and try to find medical care abroad, in addition to finding good quality of care, attractions of location, convenience of traveling, and language barriers, one of the major considerations would be the total cost.
Everybody has different situations, so HuaYu compares the cost from the Shady Grove Medical Center (SGMC) to the average cost in Taipei for the cost of egg retrieval, cryopreservation for a few years, and completing a cycle of IVF. It shows our cost in every stage is about 60-70 % lower than that of SGMC. In addition, the storage cost will be even more favorable when it is longer than 5 years. Of course, traveling will cost some (a RT coach ticket is about US$800 ~ 1300 from everywhere of US to Taipei) as well as transferring the frozen eggs to your local IVF clinic if needed, there will be additional shipping cost of a few thousand dollars.

Any time is a good time for a first visit! Please make an appointment online or by phone. You are welcome at any stage of the menstrual cycle. All you need to do is let the doctor understand your condition, and the doctor will plan the best treatment plan for you. Alternatively, discussion of your concerns with doctors via teleconference is also practicle.

Some basic fertility tests will be performed, such as blood, urine, semen analysis, ultrasound, and hysteroscopy. All those tests can be done with your local clinics and sent to HuaYu via email, mail or FAX.

After preliminary examinations and gathering your medical information, our doctors will discuss your options and make recommendations. There are several approaches, such as well designed exercise, increasing certain nutrients intake, or conditioning with herbal medicine to prepare your body for a successful pregnancy.

To minimize your stay, you only need to come to Taipei twice for infertility treatments. The total treatment requires around 16 days stay. Of course, you and your doctor will discuss the best options that meets your needs!
Besides IVF treatment for married couples and egg freezing for singles, the law governing fertility treatment “Artificial Reproductive Law” in Taiwan prohibits making of a human zygote without an official marriage between a man and a woman, even though same-sex marriage is legal in Taiwan. Thus, single, same-sex couples or coupes without a marriage certificate as well as surrogacy can’t be performed in the fertility clinic in Taiwan. Social norms are moving much faster than the legislation. We will keep you updated.

If you have a marriage certificate from Taiwan, please also bring the original National ID card of both spouses with marriage status indicated. If one of the spouses is a foreigner, please bring your household certificate (within the three months).
If you are not a citizen of Taiwan, please remember to notarize your marriage certificate at local Taipei Economic and Cultural Office before coming to Taiwan.
